On my radio, on my radio. Views: 2420

Last time we were on the radio we did a couple of songs live in the studio. I was deadly nervous never having done it before and the piano only just fit in the room. Luckily all my fingers were in working order that day. Shep Wooley, purveyor of said show, described Andy's fingers as 'maggotty' which made us all laugh but the vision of Andy with maggotty fingers has stayed with me since, it's not a pretty sight. Mind you when you see him play his fingers do move with such speed and dexterity that it's easy to see that Shep was describing the state of play exactly!
This time I was tidying my kitchen listening to 'Scattering the Roots' http://www.expressfm.com/ as I do on a Sunday if I'm at home (rare) when our version of 'Until the real thing comes along' came wafting over the airwaves. It is most peculiar hearing yourself on the radio, pleasant but peculiar. Dan Ogus usually does the show with Shep these days and occasionally Shep releases Dan freely into the fm community for the whole show.
Last time I was obsessing about the sound quality and balance of the instruments, this time I was just writhing about with the sort of delighted embarrasment that happens when someone gives you a compliment in public.
Very cool.
