Bucket Waggling Event Views: 2246

Desperate for a quiet night in I was, put my feet up, kick back and chill. Not to be. Thursday the call came to help (when, incidentally I was at a Red Priest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGgwB3B7QFg concert at the Turner Sims in Southampton, check them out they are AMAZING!). Dan announced a last minute cancellation of the booked acts due to crisis at home, could we help? A night of acoustic music, no charge on the door but a bucket to be strategically waggled in order to encourage donations. Always one to respond to a cry for help I hitched up my skirts and Andy mounted his charger and we dashed to the rescue.
Despite being tired and the piano deciding it was actually my enemy for the evening it was terrific fun and everyone there was as lovely as it is possible to be. Other valiant knights who rushed to the side of the Dan in distress were Ade Cull http://www.myspace.com/adriancull/music with his silky voice and beautifully resonant guitar, the splendid Jonny Bell http://www.myspace.com/jonnybelluk who played us some songs he had written about growing old, girls and graduation (my favourite one). Then Dan did a set, his voice really is something to write home about! Three solo acoustic guitar acts, all excellent followed by Walker Broad in fine voice but only Andy had working fingers! With only 24 hours to publicise the gig, the audience were few but of the highest quality and commented afterwards that it was really intimate and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
This looks like it might become a regular event, so look out for a Bucket Waggling event at an RMA Gun Room near you!
