Rocking at the Dockyard Club! Views: 2165

We played our first gig at NBESCA www.nbecsa.org.uk main bar on Sunday lunchtime. Have to admit we were a bit nervous, it was the first time they had had music in this bar and as it turned out some regulars had decided they wouldn’t want to hear us since we were a heavy rock act! News to us!
Luckily not everyone felt that way and people turned out to hear us despite the rumours. They were a lovely audience, really interactive with some people singing along to the covers. Sally Latino always goes down well as does Rat Race Lament and possibly our two most successful songs to date Play me some Blues and Do It Alone. Our Joan Armatrading cover was popular as was ‘Tiny Tim’ a Laverne Baker cover. As is becoming a usual occurrence the most commented on song was ‘Quiet Joys of Brotherhood’ which can be viewed in the gallery (third one in). This isn’t a fabulous quality recording but you’ll get the idea.
Looking forward to going there again!
