Steve Rodgers and Deborah Bonham do the Bullfrog proud! Views: 3706

I put on my best lure and smiled just like a Bullfrog yesterday in an effort to drag the crowds in to see the wonderful acts that were on. Good turnout overall, could always be more but the room was comfortably filled with peeps who had managed to drag themselves out for a wonderful evening!
First up we had Steve Rodgers http://www.steverodgersmusic.com (apparently son of Paul Rodgers of Free and Bad Company) whose beautiful gymnastically flexible singing wowed us all. I am reliably informed that he sounds alot like his Dad, but I don't know as must confess to never having heard him. Either way he was fabulous, my favourite song was Sunshine really unusual melody and it worked cos the sun is out today! Good job Steve!
Deborah Bonham and her band http://www.deborahbonham.com/ were totally awesome, beautiful souly ballads and rock on, out and out rock, all in the same package. Great stuff! They played a mixture of old from previous albums and new from the album due for release in Feb next year. One song 'Do you feel the way i do' was fantastic, at one point Deborah was on her knees with the mic in front of her really giving it some, i bet there wasn't a dry Y-front in the house! Too cool!
The whole evening was totally brilliant, I really enjoyed it despite having earache which made me twitch like Quasimodo - really too attractive for words! Learnt alot last night from some really excellent acts and will be looking to incorporate some of Debs moves into my stage act although playing the keyboard on my knees might be a challenge!
Next month it's Clare Free, looking forward to it - See you there! http://www.barkingspider.abelgratis.com/html/bullfrog.shtml
