The Tanners Live Lounge in Horsham Views: 2241

Andy and I had a trip to Horsham on Thursday to check out the Tanners Arms live lounge, where we are playing next month (18th August). What an evening, it was really packed, literally to the rafters! Lindsey, the Landlady and her bar staff were really friendly and ‘Chelle, who comperes and does the sound was equally welcoming. There were four acts on, five if you include ‘Chelles (checkout http://www.facebook.com/pages/Chelle-Dean-Music/137632119643669?sk=wall ) intro of three songs which I really enjoyed. The first three bands were indie style and the last was straight out of the seventies, they must have been members of the local Rock Choir and had brought many of the choir with them to swell the audience!
I enjoyed the whole evening but probably my favourites of the four acts were Ben and Sarah (of Singfield http://www.singfield.net/) with a great style and Sarah’s vocals were bitchin, and Stick in a Pot http://www.stickinapot.com/ who were kind of folky indie with keyboard, bass and three acoustic guitars and vocalists all harmonising. Sounded great!
Overall a really impressive evening and glad we made the journey up there. If you’re ever in need of a night out checkout the Tanners Arms website http://www.thetannersarms.com there is a wealth of fantastic events coming up!
