Bonjour mes amis. Ca Va?

On this glorious Friday morning I still sound like a frog and have dutifully been to the doctors to stop people nagging me! Seems my asthma, something I thought long gone, has raised itself from its slumbers and is responsible for the current state of affairs. Needless to say I will not be taking my medication but I will be taking the inhaler as that will help. Shortly I shall be right as rain I am sure.

I forgot to mention in the last blog that after the sound check on Tues Andy and I sat down for a drop of drink and the couple at the next table, who had clearly been bowled over by the soundcheck (!), bought a cd and asked us both to autograph it! This is the first time I have been asked for my autograph so I had to think quick about how I would like it to look and made it up on the spot! Very chuffed I was - they weren't able to stay for the gig they were passing through on their hols and had just stopped in for a meal. They come from Norfolk, lovely area indeed, and took one of our cards so hopefully when they return home after their holiday they'll catch up with us and maybe we'll see them at a gig in Norfolk one day.

I wrote a new song the other day which I am desperate to get finished but can't because of this damn frog voice! I can't sing the melody I can hear in my head to see if it sounds ok, the capacity to sing had completely deserted me. So lucky we don't have any gigs coming up this week! ..Can't imagine any other situation in which I would say that!

Hopefully, next time you hear from me I'll be less amphibian like.
