Progressing the album and PRS headaches Views: 2530

The first studio date is booked, we have been rehearsing like wild things and now the finished album is within sight! Hurrah! The album will have 16 original songs on it which we are recording 4 at a time, so the first four are currently getting rehearsed to death. This is not so good for someone with a short boredom fuse like me, I keep wanting to move onto something else and the guys say - No! lets do them again. I thought it was me that was supposed to work them like dogs not the other way around!
We will record them live and then add things like harmonies and complicated guitar and piano solos afterwards. Something along those lines. Very, very exciting. It is taking a bit longer than we had hoped but would rather have a great album than a half baked one.
I've been working more on 'Workaholic', a totally auotbiographical song, making the piano part more ripply (recognised musical term you know) and sorting the timing issue I was having getting between chorus and verse. The other way round, verse to chorus works fine but somehow getting back into the verse after the chorus was hard. Think I have fixed it now, well until Blackie figures out I have added a random beat somewhere and helps me fix it.
Been adding stuff to PRS for music today and is it just me that finds that site the most complicated thing to use? I get quite irate every time I enter gigs or new songs. Incidentally did I mention that there is another new song written called 'What about how?' might have mentioned it in the last blog, been so remiss about blogging lately I am forgetting! Must try harder! xxx
