Saturday shenanigans Views: 2077

Easter Saturday saw us at the White Swan pub in Guidhall Walk, Portsmouth performing as part of a fund raiser for Clic Sargent http://www.clicsargent.org.uk . It was a Folk and Blues music festival which went on from midday until midnight pretty much.
We arrived at about 6pm and heard a great Bluegrass trio called Wood, Wire and Words http://www.woodwireandwords.com/ followed by the inimitable Dan Ogus who was seriously adored by many visiting Swansea lovelies! In between sets the electronic thump of modern music created a somewhat odd atmospheric set up for folk and blues artists, but somehow all came good.
Someone tried to shake Andy's hand in the middle of a solo (seriously challenging for a guitarist who doesn't want to appear rude! ) and I got a kiss across the piano, that's a first, in the middle of the set! It was an interesting gig all over and after we'd done the Jellyrollers finished off with a series of foot tappers to carry on the feelgood feeling.
The only down point of the evening is that they lost my winning raffle ticket so I went home empty handed. I was promised a winning ticket too!
