Who got it? Who got it? The title of this blog - what is it? Robert Cray fans will know! We had reheasals last night and had a right old bluesy time of it. I even did a pretty not so dreadful piano solo for one song - getting a bit brave there! So Playing in the Dirt and The Last time are the two songs we are learning both by the most marv Robert Cray http://robertcray.com/  a truly funky right on bluesmeister with a right old souly edge. Here endeth the critique 

Twas also fun to make Simon laugh as he finally realises he pretty much knows the bass lines for lots of the songs now and had time to listen to the rather cheeky lyrics of some of the songs such as 'He may be your dog' and 'Empty bed Blues' which are pretty naughty songs, someone once told me blues is mostly written about sex and some of the songs we do are really rather close to the mark. On the whole I don't really understand them  but I truly do love singing them! 

Bit of excitement early next week as Fairport Convention, we are not worthy *bow* are at the Boarhunt Folk Club on Monday eve and I have tickets! Next outing on the Walker Broad calendar is the Golden Lion on the 22nd, so put your glad rags on and see you there! xxxx
