Full steam ahead to our fair capital in the next stage of world domination Views: 2030

We were rehearsing last night for the forthcoming gig at Charlie Wright's in London http://www.charliewrights.com/ We're up there from 6pm on Sunday, it's a terrific venue. Friendly and laid back with that sort of half lit feel that I am very comfortable in! We've recently added a Union Station song to our set 'Outside Looking In' which was providing some amusement last night since we were taking it in turns to mess it up and kept falling about laughing
So if you are out London way do pop over and see us and check out the great venue.
Last weekend I was in Germany, Aachen to be precise, with some lovely friends and whilst there I checked out some of the venues. The music scene is really great there, well it is a university city with a music school in it, so I guess that would be expected. Went to a concert on Sat night of Mendelssohn's 'Paulus', it was a great performance and the choir sound is really rousing. It was put on in a great big church, it was snowing outside and the cold, which slowly crept up your legs and into your bones, was extraordinary. Worth it nonetheless and felt very festive! The language differences caused a few hilarious moments. When we arrived at the concert (late) it felt quite warm in the church so, like a fool, I took my coat off. Later when complaining about being cold my friend Stefan said, 'Well you got undressed when we got here' can you imagine the uproar!?!?
So anyway, we have two gigs booked so far, for our tour of Germany next July and I am busily learning more German so I won't sound like a complete prune on stage, even though so many people round the world seem to speak English these days, it seems only polite to me to return the favour!
