It's been a bit quiet in Walker Broad land the last two weeks as Mr Bluesman himself has been on tour in the marvellous land of France with his solo blues Lord of the Fingers show. I now feel shamed into blogging though, as Andy, a self-confessed reluctant blogger, has knocked me into a cocked hat with the amount of blogs he has produced whilst he's been away. It sounds like the tour has been (and still is) a roaring success. Whilst he's been gone I have not been idle. I was bothering the bass player last night  to help me create the latest song, which will be the title song of the next album. Yeah, yeah I know... we should get the first one recorded first... we are working on it!  It is 'A Day for Crows' and I wanted it to grow from the bass hence the visit to Si's. So after being fed fit to bust by the lovely lady of the household, we created the rough for the song. It's a sort of beatnic blues, rock n roll affair and the verses are sort of spoken with the chorus being sung and I hope it's going to be a stonker once it's finally arranged. First time I have collaborated with someone else for a WB song, and finished it anyway, let's hope the Bluesman approves!
