All the rhythm tracks done with a fragrant bunch! Views: 1976

So another successful day in the studio this week. The last 3 tracks to be recorded for the album were done in record time, That long day, In your eyes and Pessimistic Optimist. All upbeat songs now with varying degrees of unusual percussion instruments on them! Blackie was using this strange drum looking thing which has a stick through the middle of it and that stick has to be rubbed with a wet cloth! It sounded like people talking just out of ear range, most odd but somehow it sounds great on the song! Anyone know what it's called? Something like gweeko I think, can't remember and have no idea how to spell it!

So I have progressed from licking waiters (allegedly) to sniffing musicians and sound engineers it seems. The boys were so fragrant while we were in the studio I kept getting whiffs of perfume (manly stuff obviously) and wondering which one of them it was. So I sniffed them all and discovered that they were all freshly washed and brushed which I realise is not very rock and roll but so much more pleasant. I think the sound engineer won though for being the most fragrant! I hope that doesn't ruin your street cred Geoff!

We're out at the Golden Lion Southwick on Tues for our monthly slot. These sessions will be ending next month, so if you've been thinking 'Oh I'll see them next month' stop thinking it because we will not be there much longer. Get down and see us! Look forward to it! Kiss
