Scripts

• Fade Yellow - fadeyelow.py
  A script to filter yellow pixels and make them transparent. Used to make the titling on this video
• Text Sequence - textsequence
  A script to create a sequence of frames for an animated title etc. Requires the main MakeText.rexx script to be present in SketchPath:Rexx/. Used to make the titling on this videos: Walker Broad - Jazz & Blues Dinner
• Spread Palette - spreadpalette.py
  Create a spread palette from the existing one, useful for use with the repeating palette mode of Fractals For SketchBlock 1.5. To use simply create your base palette by setting a range of colours using the palettes menu and then run the script.
• Text Gradient Demo - download
  A demonstration script for SketchBlock 2.4. It demonstrates how to create text with gradient fills.
  
  • Unpack the archive into the sketchblock directory.
  • Start SketchBlock
  • Start script from shell like so
    

    	 rx SketchPath:Demo/TextGradientDemo/textgradientdemo.rexx
    	 

  demo expects a screen of at 1280 x 1024 pixels in size. (Please do not upload this to any other site and if posting a link, post to this page rather than the archive direct.)
• Make Text - maketext.rexx
  An updated version of the maketext script with additional commenting. This uses the texteditor.gadget and this requires ProAction 1.7.
  To install:
  • Rename or otherwise backup the existing SketchPath:Rexx/maketext.rexx
  • Downlod the linked script and copy to SketchPath:Rexx/maketext.rexx.
  • Set the script bit.
