We have decided to merge our new letters as much of the material we cover overlaps ( Barking Spider runs the Bullfrog Blues Club). Also it saves me work as I manage the technical side of both sites! Bullfrog Blues Club Events For January 2002: Thursday 10th January - Burnt Ice. Albert Bar - South Parade Pier - Southsea Admission £3 Fronted by Andy Broad Portsmouth's funkiest blues band Burnt Ice open the new season the Bullfrog, it will be an extra special night as they will be recording their new live album. Keep your ticket for the night to get a discount when the CD is released. (£7 instead of the usual price of £10) Thursday 17th - White Knuckles Blues Band Albert Bar - South parade pier -Southsea Admission £3 A welcome return for this popular blues rock three piece, fronted by Steve Roux guitar and with Bernie Fox and Bob Vic On drums and bass. One of the biggest blues crowd pullers in the area. Thursday 24th - The Bob Hall Medicine Show Albert bar - South Parade Pier Southsea Admission £4 Bob Hall is easily one of the best Boogie woggle piano players around the UK today. In his new show he is joined by his partner Hilary Blythe on bass, slide guitar wizard Stewart Carr, and Leslie Car on washboard. Thursday 31st - Mo'Indigo Albert Bar - South Parade Pier - Southsea Admission £4 Mo'Indigo gave a sterling performance as Al Garner and Earl Gaines backing band last year and are now back in their own right. Expect excellent night, book early. Site News: Whilst The Portsmouth Blues Site will continue to provide up to date information on the activities of the Bullfrog Blues Club I am now assisting John in building the Barking Spider Website. This will include information about the full range of Barking Spiders activities, include artist that John acts as agents for, Folk and Roots gigs promoted by John and of course the Bullfrog Blues Club. Most of the work is taking place behind the scenes at the moment but amongst the features will on-line ticket ordering and the latest info on next years Southsea Folk Festival ( there are rumours the Messrs.
